As we are living through Covid-19, The Lazy Gourmet has been working hard to anticipate what Holiday Hosting will look like this year. We recognize that so many of our clients have been impacted and that celebrating the holidays comes with a few question marks. However, we believe that now more than ever, it’s important to maintain connection and show appreciation for team members and clients. We’ve come up with a few creative ideas that include all of the festivity, with safety top of mind.

Take a look at some of our Holiday Hosting ideas below!

Option 1:
Party at Home

In lieu of large gatherings, we’re helping guests gather together – apart. This idea is based on a concept we have been executing for many galas across Vancouver and BC so far this Fall. We can work with you to curate custom menus or boxes of savoury and sweet treats as well as some branded collateral that we deliver to your guests around the Lower Mainland. This would be a wonderful treat for your guests (and their spouse/partner) and make them feel even more like they are celebrating together.

Option 2:
At Home
Classroom Events

This concept has been very popular with banks and tech companies wanting to engage their clients / employees. The Lazy Gourmet puts together all the raw ingredients for a cocktail, appetizer, main and dessert and delivers them around the Lower Mainland with instructions to join a zoom meeting. Virtually, you can make a presentation to the guests “seeing” them and then our chef takes the group through putting the meal together. You can then have some “mingling” time after the event before people sign off.

Option 3:
Hybrid Event

This option has been great for people who have been working together (aka comfortable being together in the same building/ social distancing) but also want to include guests outside of your bubble.
You could host a small event for 42 guests (plus our staff = 50) then send out the boxes from Option 1 to the remaining guests. This gives context to your event, people feel connected that you are all “celebrating together” but apart.

Option 4:
Intimate Gathering

Lastly, there’s always the option to have a low key, intimate holiday dinner at home with the people in your social bubble. We’ve recently launched our new holiday menu, AND some special décor packages so that you can have a lavish, delicious spread delivered safely to your door this holiday season.
