Job Description

The Lazy Gourmet is hiring for kitchen staff. We are a full service, high end catering company that believes in our product and executes each event beyond clients’ and their guests’ expectations. We are looking for fast, organized, and motivated people to work on our sandwich team.Shifts start early mornings from 5 am to 6 am at our location, 1605 West 5 Ave., Vancouver.
There is sometimes overtime required during busy periods.This is a high volume department.

Our sandwich staff prepare all mis en place and then build sandwiches and platter them to fill our client orders. After the orders have gone out, the sandwich staff prep for the next day’s orders. Prep tasks include meat slicing, roasting beef, making sauces, and cutting vegetables.

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications: 
  • Food Safe Certification (preferred)
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years of cooking in Banquet or Restaurants
  • Place a high priority on quality food and presentation
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize and work calmly under pressure
  • To work independently as well as within your team
  • Availability for weekdays, weekends, and possibly early mornings
  • Ability to lift up 50 lbs if required.Competitive wages, with possibility of benefits.
    Staff meal provided on shift.

     

    Salary/Wage

    $15.00 per hour and up.
